OmniFile Full Text Mega Tips

OmniFile Full Text Mega is a multi-disciplinary database. It contains the complete content (citations, abstracts, and full text) from the following databases: Education Full Text, General Science Full Text, Humanities Full Text, Readers' Guide Full Text, Social Sciences Full Text, and Wilson Business Full Text. It also includes the full-text articles when available for the following: Applied Science & Technology Full Text, Art Full Text, Biological & Agricultural Index, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books, and Library Literature & Information Science Full Text. Indexing begins in 1982, abstracts in 1984, and full-text coverage in 1994.

While OmniFile Full Text Mega offers the full text for many journals, only citations are given for some journals. If you need an article from one of these journals, use our interlibrary loan form It typically takes between one and three weeks to receive the articles. To limit your results to only articles that contain the full text, check the "Full Text Articles" box.

The default search for OmniFile Full Text Mega is All-Smart Search, which searches all fields. Unless your topic is narrow or obscure, it is recommended that you search by keyword which searches the article title, author, journal title, and abstract. You can further narrow your search to only one of those fields by selecting them in the drop down menu. To limit your search to peer-reviewed articles, check the "Peer-Reviewed" box.
