Valencia Community College Library cards

A valid Valencia Community College student ID may be used to borrow library materials and to use the Library computers. The 14 digit number on the back of the student ID will act as the library borrower ID, or library card number. This 14 digit number is needed to remotely access Valencia Community College's online databases.

Student IDs are issued in the Winter Park Campus Student Development Office (Room 100). To obtain an ID, students need to bring a current class schedule, photo ID, and proof of payment.

Fines for overdue items (except Reserve materials) accrue at the rate of $0.25 per day per item. Fines for Reserve materials accrue at the rate of $1.20 per hour per item. Once the item is 20 days overdue, it is considered lost and the student will be billed for the cost of the item and a $5.00 processing fee. If the item is returned, the student is only responsible for the overdue fines.

Overdue notices will be sent to the student's address listed in the student's library record. Students are responsible for notifying the Library of any address or phone number changes.

Should a student damage a library item, the student will be billed for the current replacement cost and a $5.00 processing fee.

Fines and other library related fees must be paid in the Finance Office. Students with $15 of fines or greater may not check out any additional library materials nor renew any materials that are currently checked out.
