Admissions Checklist

1.

Students must submit a completed College Application for Admission by the college Application Deadline and must meet the college admission requirements for degree seeking students.  College entry level assessments, Computerized Placement Tests (CPT), and all mandatory courses in reading, student success, mathematics, English, and English for Academic Purposes must be completed prior to submitting the Program Application.  Visit Valencia’s Web site at http://valenciacc.edu/admissions/  for specific information

View video, and review student handbook at West Campus LRC, Building 6, 1st floor Reserve Desk

3.

Complete the pre-requisite course and other suggested courses for admission prior to the deadline of May 1st.

4.

Students must complete the NET (Nursing Entrance Test) prior to submitting the Sonography application with an overall NET Composite Score of 65% or higher, and Composite Reading Score of 65% or higher. Examination fee is the responsibility of the student. The cost is $25.00.

5.

A $15 non-refundable Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program fee (check or money order payable to Valencia Community College) must be submitted to the Business Department (SSB 101) with each application.  Submit the completed application and required documents to the Health Science Advising Office, West Campus, Building 4 room 206.   A new application is required if reapplying for admission.

All required documents must be submitted no later than May 1st.  (Required documents may include but are not limited to program application, references, work experience forms, copy of any certifications)
