Wendi Dew, B.S., RRT

Director of Clinical Education

I started working at Valencia in 1998 as a clinical adjunct instructor and began full time in 2002.

My clinical experience began in 1997 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center working as a staff Respiratory Therapist. After moving to Orlando in 1998, I worked at Florida Hospital Orlando as a critical care Respiratory Therapist caring for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients.  In addition, I began my first part-time teaching position at Valencia Community College as an adjunct clinical instructor.

After working several years at Florida Hospital Orlando, I worked as Lead Critical Care Therapist at Celebration Health and Winter Park Memorial Hospital.  In 2000, I cross-trained into cardiovascular technology at the electrophysiology lab at Orlando Regional Medical Center where I was employed for two years until taking a full-time faculty position at Valencia Community College.

I am a native Floridian born on a small farm in north Florida.  My husband is a Respiratory Therapist who works as a critical care therapist in Orlando.  We have two adorable children and a Jack Russell Terrier named Max. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and reading.
