About Us

Andrea BrodyAndrea L. Brody, BS, RN, NREMT-P

Program Chair

I joined Valencia in 1996. Prior to Valencia, I was a Flight Paramedic for ORHS AirCare Team, Shift Commander in Seminole County with Lifefleet Ambulance, and Field Supervisor for Sunstar in Pinellas County. I am also an ACLS, CPR, ATLS, PALS, ITLS, and NRP Instructor.

I am an International Lecturer in Salerno Italy. I travel every 1-2 years to train physicians to be “street” doctors because they do not have paramedics on their ambulances. We train them in ACLS, CPR, ATLS, PALS, extrication and advance airway management. I travel with Dr. Tim Bullard, chief executive officer of ORHS and Dr. Sal Silvestris, Chief of Emergency Residency program and the Assistant Medical Director of Orange County. We made our fifth trip last May.

Bobbie SartorBobbie Sartor, EMT-P

EMT Program Coordinator

I became an EMT in 1982 and a Paramedic in 1984. I am a graduate of Valencia. I started teaching at Valencia in 2001 as the EMT Clinical Coordinator.

Prior to Valencia I worked for 15 years at Rural Metro Ambulance as a Paramedic, Paramedic and EMT Preceptor, Driver Trainer, NEOP Trainer, and Dispatcher.

My husband is a retired City of Orlando FireFighter Paramedic.  I have 2 grown children- a son and a daughter, 2 grown step-sons, 2 grand-daughters and 1 grandson.  I also have 2 cats: they saved me from having the "empty nest" syndrome as the children grew up and left home!  I no longer work in the field as a Paramedic, so I live vicariously through my students.  If I had to pick my favorite job- field Paramedic or EMT Instructor, I don't think I could choose- I love them both.
