Cardiovascular Technology

Applicant Information

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

Cardiovascular Technology is a selective admission, limited enrollment program.  Admission to the College does not imply acceptance to the Cardiovascular Technology Program; students must apply and be accepted into the program.  Please review the Admission Checklist and Selection criteria for more information on the selection process.

The Health Related Programs Department provides academic and career counseling and information about specific admission criteria.  Students who wish to transfer into Cardiovascular Technology must have their course work evaluated before beginning the Cardiovascular Technology Program.  Transfer students are admitted on a space available basis.

A minimum grade of “C” must be achieved in all courses required in the Cardiovascular Technology Program, including the prerequisites for admission and the general education courses.

A student who withdraws prior to the college withdrawal deadline from any non-core course(s) in the semester will be allowed to repeat that course(s) without penalty.  Only one withdrawal without penalty per Cardiovascular Technology course (CVT prefix) is allowed.  A student will not be allowed to continue in the Cardiovascular Technology Program if he/she withdraws from two courses beyond the core semester or receives a grade of D or F in two (2) Cardiovascular Technology courses (CVT prefix).  The two (2) Cardiovascular Technology courses could be the same Cardiovascular Technology course or two separate Cardiovascular Technology courses.
