Collegewide Staff Council Meeting

Learning Day - The group discussed having a table outside of the PEC during Learning Day to provide Career Staff Council information and brochures. It was also decided to have a prize give-away to attract Career Staff to the table. The prize will consist of a gift basket of Valencia promotional items.

Governing Council Representation - The group decided that Career Staff representatives on the collegewide governing councils (College Learning Council, College Planning Council and the Executive Council) should be considered members of the Collegewide Career Staff Council. Representatives on the governing councils will be asked to share a report at each Collegewide Staff Council meeting.

Career Staff Representation - There was a discussion regarding Career Staff participation on the collegewide governing councils and committees. A list will be prepared for inclusion in the Career Staff Council brochure indicating the various councils and committees on which career staff is represented. This information will also be posted to the Career Staff Council website.

Collegewide Council/Committee Updates

Budget and Financial Advisory Group - Deborah Donohue attended the September 11 meeting and is looking forward to the next meeting.

College Planning Council - Carol Janz reported that the CPC is responsible for reviewing the recommendations submitted by the Budget and Financial Advisory Group for submission, if approved, to the Executive Council.

Executive Council B Debi Jakubcin briefed the group regarding the October 7 meeting at which the majority of discussion involved the Re-design of Student Services.
