Collegewide Staff Council Meeting

East Campus

April 11, 2002

MINUTES

Present: Amy Alonso (EAC), Joanna Branham (WPC), Debi Jakubcin (EAC), Carol Janz (WEC), Patty Nicholas (DTC), Stan Stone (Liaison), Lorraine Whipple (DTC)

Absent: Kristen Smuder (WEC), and an Osceola Representative

Since the April 4 meeting, Ann Whetstone announced her need to resign from the Osceola Staff Council. Since Osceola currently has neither a chair or vice chair, Lorraine expressed concern that Osceola=s Staff Council was not being represented at the Collegewide staff meetings. Lorraine indicated she would offer Dr. Zapico her support and that of the Collegewide Staff Council, if needed, in getting the Osceola Staff Council back on track.

Representatives completed the review, editing and consolidation of the collegewide issues. Lorraine will make the noted changes to the master list and distribute them to each of the council representatives.

Changes and recommendations were made regarding the Collegewide Staff Council Brochure.

Amy took digital photos of those present to be used in the collegewide web site. She indicated that she wanted to incorporate much of the wording from the brochure relating to the purpose, objectives, etc. into the web page and requested an electronic copy. She also requested electronic copies of minutes from all staff councils to be included, as well.

The next meeting is scheduled for June 6, 2002, at the West Campus.
