Issues
Purpose
The Career Staff Council
has been established for all full-time and part-time career staff
employees. This Council gives you a chance to voice your opinions
on any issues or concerns you may have (positive or negative) to
improve your working environment. Please note that we do not connect
names to any issues. The issues are then taken to the campus Provost
for action. Collegewide implications are taken to the Executive
Council for action.
Meetings
We meet the first Tuesday
of every month at 3pm in Rm. 106 A/B. Every career staff employee
whether full time or part-time, is welcome to attend. Please be
sure to coordinate your schedule with your supervisor to make your
attendance possible.

WELLNESS
PROGRAM- A HEALTHY MOVE FORWARD ACTIVITIES ARE:
- Yoga… the class continues this fall!!
- Weight Watchers… The challenge winners will be announced
soon!
- Any suggestions for Healthy Move Forward Activities should
be directed to Debi Jakubcin by email with the Subject line, “DTC
Next Term Class Suggestions.”
- East will offer Yoga and Tai Chi, West will have 2 of their
most attended classes, Osceola will have Yoga and hopefully Tai
Chi.
- Massages will continue.
- A Wellness Fair will be held all day in the gym on Learning
Day:
- Health assessment with perks
- Chiropractor
- Massages
- Mental Health Coach for eating/nutritional issues
- Tai Chi and Yoga spots

GIFT FOR TEACHING: 
- JC Penney's has extended school supply sales
- Your $1 donation buys $10 of supplies
- School supplies recommended
by A Gift for Teaching (AGFT)
- The items on the above list are a from a sample teacher
order form
- Of the items listed, those with a larger quantity are in
greater demand
- Each dollar you donate to AGFT allows teachers to take $10 worth
of supplies back to the classroom.
- Your product donations help keep our Free Store shelves stocked
with supplies that our teachers and students need most.
- In-kind services support AGFT in its day-to-day operations
keeping administrative costs low, allowing 94% of all product
and monetary revenue to be utilized for AGFT program expenses.
