Administrative Computing - West Campus SSB-234
The Applications Programming and Support area of the Office of Information Technology provides maintenance, support, and development of various PC, network-based, applications and systems at the college.

Banner - West Campus SSB-234
The Banner administrative system supports institutions of all sizes and types as a tightly integrated suite of proven, scalable, enterprise-wide applications on a single database. The Unified Digital Campus combines a premier administrative solution with portal, integration, information access, content management, and academic solutions. Internet technologies allow for a personalized user experience and the architecture supports interoperability across disparate systems within the institution and beyond.

Lab Technology & Services
The Lab Technology and Services area, manages all student computer labs and computer classrooms College-wide.

We provide leadership, while interfacing and assisting management and academic technology support personnel, with gathering, investigating, and evaluating information, which is used to develop and recommend best practices, for academic labs and classroom technology support, college wide.

Lab Technology and Services identifies, consolidates, acquires, and deploys vendor supplied upgrades as approved, to augment the operation of technology labs and classrooms.

The area manages software licenses, and maintains an inventory of programs that reside on the network. We also monitor the use of equipment by students and other users, and report any service, safety, or security issues, as discovered to the appropriate staff.

Groupwise E-mail
Novell GroupWise is a complete collaboration software solution that provides users with e-mail, calendaring, task management, and contact management functions.

Help Desk - West Campus SSB-172
The Help Desk and Technical Support area of the Office of Information Technology is responsible for monitoring and responding to college-wide technical support issues.

Learning Technologies & Alternative Delivery (LTAD) - West Campus 6-326B
The Instructional Technology Support area of the Office of Information Technology provides technology support to faculty and manages the centralized online course delivery software used by the college.

Smart Classrooms - West Campus 6-326
The Purpose of the Smart Classrooms at Valencia Community College is to provide a state-of-the-art technology enhanced teaching and learning environment.

Networking - All Valencia Campuses
Networking and Computer Services area of the Office of Information Technology is responsible for ongoing operational support, maintenance and development of Valencia’s IT infrastructure and network applications.

Technology Refresh - West Campus SSB-171
The Technology Refresh Program in the Office of Information Technology is responsible for maintaining appropriate lifecycles of existing computers at Valencia Community College.

Telecommunications - West Campus SSB-171
The Telecommunications Operations and Support area of the Office of Information Technology is responsible for ongoing operational support, maintenance, and development of Valencia’s telephone infrastructure and related services.

Web Services - West Campus SSB-234
The Web Services area of the Office of Information Technology is responsible for maintenance, support and development of the college's Internet presence.

Wireless
Wireless networking is a relatively new area in computer network technology that offers unique opportunities in education, research, and administration.
