PC Inventory Registration

Valencia 's PC Inventory Registration collects information on your computer that helps facilitate the Technology Refresh Program.

IMPORTANT:
Your computer must be on the Novell Network for this to work.

If you receive an 'Network Restriction' error message call the help desk at 5555 so the issue can be resolved.

Instructions:

1. Click on the link below "PC Inventory Registration."
2. The Browser's file download box will popup.
   
   

   1. Internet Explorer users: Click the 'Open' button on the file download box.

   2. Netscape users: Save the file on your desktop and open the file by double-clicking on it.

3. After clicking open, a small window will pop up (be patient, it may take a few seconds because it has to connect to the network) prompting you for the campus/building, room number, Valencia Asset Number, and your name (in this case, the user name you use to log into the computer):
   
   
1. Select the campus / building where your computer resides from the drop down list box.
2. Enter the room number where your computer resides in the provided text box.
3. In the box next to "Enter Property Number", enter the Valencia Asset Tag number. The Asset Tag is a sticker located on your computer, and it has ‘Valencia Community College' on it.
4. In the final box, enter your username that you use to login to the computer, such as "jsmith" for John Smith, or "mwilliams" for Mike Williams.
   
   
4. Once ALL the information is entered, click the 'Register Computer' button. The PC Inventory Registration program will register your computer and then display a confirmation message when finished.
5. Click 'Ok' to close the confirmation message.
6. Click Exit to close PC Inventory Registration.
7. YOU'RE DONE!
