West Campus librarians teach over 300 Library Instruction sessions per year! Bring your classes for library instruction:
- Tailored for specific course and assignment

Reference Services
Librarians provide individualized research assistance. Reference assistance is available to all by visiting or calling the Information Desk (6-201; x1432)
Professional Collection
The professional collection is available in the Learning Technology Center on West Campus (6-326). This collection contains materials that support professional development. Materials in the professional collection do not circulate to students.
Faculty & Staff Borrowing Privileges
Checkout terms for Faculty & Staff
- Books - Four weeks
- DVD / Videos in Circulation (6-201) - Three weeks
- DVD / Videos (Audio-Visuals Department, 1st floor) - Check-out as needed, to faculty and staff only. Please contact Instructional Support Services.
- Journals & Reference materials - Short term checkout available
- Holds and Renewals are allowed.
Reciprocal Checkout & Interlibrary Loan
The West Campus Library has a reciprocal borrowing agreement with the following libraries that allows you to check out materials from these libraries:
- UCF & other state university libraries
- All 28 community college libraries
- All four Valencia campus libraries
Through our Interlibrary Loan program, the West Campus Library will borrow requested materials from other libraries. For help placing an Interlibrary Loan request, contact

Access to Online Library Resources
Remote access to the library's online resources are available from home or office.
- A searchable catalog of the library's resources is available online.
- Remote access to the Library Databases is available by logging in with your valid Borrower ID (found on the back of your Valencia Photo ID) and PIN number.
- All newly assigned PIN numbers will now be the last four digits of your VID number. Returning users may still use the last four digits of your social security number. PIN numbers may be changed any time at your request. Please call the Service Desk, x1574.
- Borrower ID must be validated in the library system to allow access. Please contact the Information Desk, x1432, or go to Validate Borrower ID
Adjunct Resource Center
Workstations are available for use by Adjunct Faculty members in 6-326. Each workstation contains PC with network connection and telephone, and access to a print and copy station.

Library Webpage
The West Campus Library webpage is the online portal to all of our resources and services. More than an informational page, it is also an instructional tool designed to provide access to learning centered resources for use with students' courses of study. Professors are encouraged to:
- Integrate the Internet into class assignments.
- Add your favorite Web sites to your personal Prof's Picks page.
