Civic Leadership Internship
How does it work?
- The Civic Leadership Internship is designed for students interested
in a career in public service or in seeking political office
- Intern with elected officials and public policy agencies at
the local, state and federal levels
- Students must complete a minimum of 80 contact hours per internship
credit hour (1-4 credit hours)
- Students are supervised by a political science faculty member
Who is eligible?
- 2.5 overall G.P.A.
- Satisfactory completion of college prep courses (if you were
required to take them based on CPT/SAT/ACT scores)
- 12 Valencia college-level credits including a minimum of "C"
in POS 2041; concurrent enrollment in or satisfactory completion
of INR 2002 or POS 2112
- Recommendation of faculty or dean
- Program Coordinator's approval
