What did you learn about yourself through the internship?
I learned a lot about myself throughout this internship. I learned that I am able to be on time to places. I also learned that hard work always pays off. I worked very hard throughout this internship, and it definitely paid off for me. I also learned that this is the field I really want to work in. What I did at the internship isn’t something I would want to do with my life, but I know I want to do something in the news field. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the people and the excitement that went on in the newsroom. When there is breaking news you have to be prepared, and the work must always be legitimate. I loved being there and seeing everything that goes on. That was the biggest thing that I learned about myself; my future.

What benefits did you gain from doing an internship?
I received a huge benefit. I got into the school that I have been dreaming about since I was a little girl. I have always wanted to attend the University of Florida, but was probably not able to after high school because of my test grades. I believe this internship set me apart from the rest of the applicants. Besides that, I made new friends and learned a lot about the field of news journalism. I learned how to do a lot of things I wasn’t sure on before, and I also became a better writer. This internship was definitely for the better, and I’m so glad I decided to do it.

time, patience and perseverance.

What benefits did you gain from doing an internship?
Being able to watch, and learn about Orcas, what trainers do on a day
to day work basis; Meeting amazing people and the best thing of all…I
gained a JOB that I love doing!!!
