Microsoft Wordâ XP: Bullets & Numbering

 

 

  1. Creating a Bulleted List

 

    1. While in an existing document, click the insertion point at the end of the document.  Press the Enter key twice and begin typing a list of items your students might need for a class project. Press Enter after each item, including the last item typed.

 

    1. Use the click and drag method to select the list.

 

 

    1. While the list is selected, from the Format menu, choose Bullets and Numbering The following window will appear:

 

    1. Make sure the Bulleted tab is selected.  Click on the solid black circle bullet sample, then click OK.

 

    1. If necessary, use the Indent buttons to increase () or decrease () the indention of the bulleted list.

 

 

 

  1. Creating a Numbered List

 

    1. Use the click and drag method to select the list you want to number.

 

    1. While the list is selected, from the Format menu, choose Bullets and Numbering

 

    1. Click on the Numbered tab and select the style of numbering you wish to use.  Click OK when you are finished.

 

    1. Text Box: " You can also click on the   button to insert bullets.Text Box: " You can also click on the   button to insert numbering.Text Box: 8 To see additional bullet style choices, click on Customize on the Bulleted tab.Use the Indent buttons as needed.
