Started
- Opening the Program & Applying a
Design Template
- From the Start menu, choose All
Programs, then choose Microsoft
PowerPoint.

- Click on From
Design Template under New
in the Task Pane.
- A list of Design Templates will appear in
the task pane. Scroll through the
list and click once on a thumbnail
to view the design on the full-sized slide.
- Once you have
decided on a design, close the Apply
Design task pane.
- Creating the Title Slide

- After you close
the task pane, the Title slide
will be on the screen.
- Click in the Click
to add title text block and type a title for your presentation.
- Click in the Click
to add subtitle text block, and type your name and today’s date.
- Adding a New Slide
- From the Insert menu, choose New
Slide.
- The Slide Layout task pane will
open. Scroll through the list of
layouts, and choose the Title and Text layout. Close the task pane when you
are done.
- Click in the Click
to add title text block and type a title for this slide.
- Click in the Click
to add text text block and type in a
short list of items. Be sure to
press the Enter key after each
item and notice that your list is automatically bulleted.
