Policy Statement:
It is the intent of the District Board of Trustees that a management and accountability process be implemented that provides for the systematic, ongoing improvement and assessment of the quality and efficiency of Valencia Community College. Accordingly, the President shall develop and implement a strategic plan to improve and evaluate the instructional and administrative effectiveness of the College. The District Board of Trustees shall be provided with periodic reports indicating progress towards the performance of goals established by the Strategic Plan. These reports will indicate trends over time. Accordingly, the President will prepare an annual accountability reports timetable setting forth the types and presentation dates of each report to the District Board of Trustees.
The District Board of Trustees shall address within the annual evaluation of the President the achievement of the performance goals set by the Strategic Learning Plan and other performance goals that are established by the District Board of Trustees. In advance of the President's performance evaluation, members of the District Board of Trustees will be provided relevant information with respect to these matters, to be considered in the evaluation process. Each member will submit a signed evaluation form, to be collected and provided to the Chair and the President.
