UCF Alumni Association
Community/State College Scholarship
The UCF Alumni Association awards scholarships each year to undergraduate students. Scholarship applications are available each spring (in early January) with an application deadline at the end of March. The scholarship winners are announced over the summer and the monetary awards are distributed at the beginning of the fall semester. The Community/ State College Scholarship awards up to four $1,000 scholarships for transfer students from any community/state college. Student(s) must transfer DIRECTLY from the community/state college to UCF and have demonstrated involvement to college campus, local community or exceptional work experience.

National Association of Women in Construction Greater Orlando Chapter #73 Margaret Powell Scholarship
The National Association of Women in Construction Greater Orlando Chapter #73 Margaret Powell Scholarship is awarding again for talented females in construction related field. The amount of each scholarship shall be no less than $1000. Scholarships can be used for tuition, fees and required text books. To be eligible applicants must meet these requirements:
- Enrolled in civil engineering, construction technology, construction management, surveying, CAD Drafting and Design, etc.
- Applicant must be female.
- Applicant must reside in Lake, Seminole, Orange or Osceola County.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Applicant must demonstrate need for financial assistance.

Johnson Scholarship Foundation
Theodore Johnson was a senior executive of UPS and invested in company stock throughout his career.He established a scholarship program to assist the CHILDREN of United Parcel Service employees or retirees who live in Florida are eligible to apply for scholarship funds to attend college or vocational school in Florida.
To be eligible applicants must meet these requirements:
- Applicants must be qualified high school graduates who demonstrate financial need.
- Community college students and vocational school students may receive a maximum of $5,000 per year.
- Financial need is a factor in determining the amount of the award once the recipients are chosen.

The Orphan Foundation of American Scholarship
Casey Family Programs and The Orphan Foundation of American are pleased to announce that applications for college scholarships for students from foster care are now available for the 2010-2011 academic year. The Casey Family Scholars Program will award approximately 75 new scholarships for undergraduate study and career/technical training at accredited institutions and programs.
Undergraduate scholarships are awarded based on a combination of merit and need, and funding levels are determined based on cost of attendance and other resources.

Council for Continuing Education for Women of Central Florida, INC. (CCEW)
The Council for Continuing Education for Women of Central Florida, INC. (CCEW) is to assist women to continue their vocational or professional education. Funds may be used for tuition and/or education associated fees, such as books or day care costs for children. School funds are paid directly to school or service provider. Applicant must attend an educational institution in Central Florida.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicant must-
- Be a woman at least 30 years old.
- Have been a full time resident of Central Florida for at least the previous 12 months.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Establish an attainable career goal and/or ability to improve earning capacity or earning skills.

USA Funds Scholarship
USA Funds is the nation’s leading education loan guarantor. A nonprofit organization, USA Funds works to enhance post secondary education preparedness, access and success by providing and supporting financial and other valued services.
USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships are open to high school seniors, currently enrolled college or professional degree students or incoming college or professional degree students who:
- Plan to enroll or are enrolled in full- or half-time undergraduate degree coursework at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school.
- Have an annual adjusted gross family income of $35,000 or less, as documented on a 2009 federal 1040 income tax return on which the applicant is claimed as a federal tax exemption.
- Are U.S. citizens or eligible non citizens.
- Are not currently in default on a federal education loan.

Florida Realtors College Scholarships
The Florida Realtors continue to sponsor
their Scholarship/Essay Contest for High School Seniors. Be sure to
sign up for the easy-to-understand 2009-2010 contest, which
offers individual students the chance to win up to $6,000 in
scholarships.
How to Enter: : Students must write a typed,
double-spaced essay (500 words or less) on
the topic, “How Does a Realtor Professional
Benefit the Community?”

Commercial Real Estate Women Scholarship (F516) 
Applications are now being accepted for CREW Scholarships!
CREW Scholarship requirements are listed below:
- Submit a complete FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
- Full Time or Part Time Students may apply by July 15.
- Continuing Education, Certifications, and Credit Class students are eligible.
- Participation in accounting, architecture, business administration, construction, engineering, law, real estate, PACE Center, or Women in Transition are preferred but not required.
- Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
The Commercial Real Estate Women Scholarship may be renewable each semester and may be taken with a student to UCF with approved application. National University Transfer to Triumph Scholarship
Since 1971, National University has been dedicated to making lifelong learning opportunities accessible, challenging, and relevant to a diverse student population. As a nonprofit institution, National University invests in its students by providing them with quality educational instruction and learning technologies, superior faculty, and exemplary student services.
Students who are transferring from a Florida Community College may be eligible for the Transfer to Triumph program. Scholarship requirements are listed below:
- Be in good academic standing at the time of application to National University.
- Have completed at least 30 semesters units at a Florida or California Community College.
- Their last semester of attendance was at the Florida or California Community College and is within 24 months of their application date to National University.
If students believe that they qualify for this scholarship, they must initiate it through their admissions advisor who will make a preliminary eligibility determination. Once the student’s entire file is complete, the Registrar’s Office will evaluate the student and determine official eligibility for the scholarship.
Students will be sent an e-mail indicating whether they have been approved or denied for the scholarship based on official eligibility determination.

Hispanic College Fund
The Hispanic College fund awards over 600 students. Students from all underrepresented groups (women, minorities, persons with disabilities and individuals from rural and low income communities) encouraged to apply. Applicants must be a senior in high school, rising freshman or transfer student entering a 4-year bachelors degree program. Applicants must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent resident. There are several different kinds of scholarship awards offered by the Hispanic College Fund.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund mission is to double the rate of Hispanic Americans earning college degrees. It was founded in 1975 and awards several kinds of scholarships in the United States. Applicants must either be a high school senior, an undergraduate or graduate student, or a community college transfer student. Applicants must also be of Hispanic heritage and apply for Federal Financial Aid funding using the FAFSA.

The United Negro College Fund is a minority higher education assistance organization which is over 65 years old. It has raised more than $3 billion dollars and helped 350,000 students attend and graduate from college. Steps for submitting a Valencia-Selected Foundation Scholarship:
1. Please visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning January 01, 2009 for the 2009-2010 Aid Year.
2. Complete the Valencia Foundation Scholarship application found HERE for 2009-2010 Fall and Spring Terms. Along with your application please include your personal statement. Submit all documents to the Answer Center on your campus.
3. If you are awarded a scholarship, write a thank you note to the provider of the scholarship and submit to Financial Aid Services. Your scholarship funds will be released for your use only after the Thank You note is written.

The William (Bill) McKelvy Expressway Authority Engineering and

Viola and George McLoughlin Gift Annuity
(F657)
This award was created for non-traditional or disadvantaged students,
especially those who might not qualify for other programs.
Examples include but are not limited to: victims of domestic and/or
sexual abuse, recovering substance abusers, homeless, those undergoing
career change, single parents, victims of tragic circumstances,
juvenile offenders, and those seeking re-entry to the community
following incarceration. There is NO minimum
GPA requirement for this award.
This scholarship award amount varies but is renewable upon completion
of one successful semester at Valencia.
