Welcome to Valencia Community
College , a great place to start. I am A.J. Quackenbush
and I teach courses on the East Campus in US Government
and special topics like Congress and Lawmaking or Campaigns
and Elections. You may even find an online class that I
teach. I graduated from Indiana University and then attended
Ball State University where I received my Masters of Arts
in Political Science. Prior to coming to Valencia Community
College three years ago, I held teaching positions at East
Stroudsburg University and SUNY Binghamton.
I am also an advisor for the Civic Leadership Internship program.
The Civic Leadership Internship is designed for students interested
in a career in public service or in seeking political office.
You have the opportunity to i ntern with elected officials
and public policy agencies at the local, state and federal
levels. While I was in college I interned with a US Congressman
and then worked in his office in Washington , D.C. for 2 years
after graduation. The benefits of such experiences are priceless
