career opportunities through Associate in Science Degrees,
Certificates and Life Long Learning.
Professional Profile
Kathy Fedell has become a familiar face to students in the
Associate in Science degree programs since she started five
years ago. As a Career Program Advisor, Ms. Fedell's position
involves working with students in certain
AS programs. She helps students with graduation requirements,
course selections, program information, and academic issues.
Her position was created to assist AS students in completing
their degrees as quickly and as easily as possible. You can

Ms. Fedell is located in building 8 room 105A on East Campus.
Mrs. Fedell specializes in the following AS programs:
Information and Planning Meetings with the program
directors are offered at least once a year in Ms. Fedell's
program areas. Click here to find the dates for upcoming

Students can find information about specific AS
degrees/certificates by going to the degree/certificate's web
sites and by studying the advising sheets. The advising sheets
are available online, Career Development Services, Student
Services or Answer Center. Furthermore, all AS degrees now
have groups on Atlas. These groups are open to all students.
Once
students
join a
group,
they are able to talk to other students with similar interests
and exchange information and ideas.
Personal Bio
Having earned a BA in English from Hood College in Frederick,
MD, Ms. Fedell went on to complete her MSM at Rollins College,
Winter Park, FL. Ms. Fedell spent seven years with Orange
County Schools as an English Teacher and Occupational
Placement Specialist. She has also had extensive management
and business experience with retail, insurance and
professional association organizations. In addition, she
worked for several years as a freelance writer for technical
publications and area magazines and newspapers. During her
early career, she served as Publicity Officer for St. Joseph
College , Emmitsburg , MD.
Ms. Fedell has been married for over 30 years to Robert, who
is an "award-winning" English teacher at Dr. Phillips High
School. They have a 21-year-old daughter, Amy, who attends
the University of Central Florida. In her spare time, Ms. Fedell
enjoys reading mystery novels, going to the theater, and watching
movies.
