Learning - Centered Educational Services

The Learning-Centered Educational Services provides many services to assist students with educational success. This document will familiarize you with a variety of  services offered in Student Services.

The Answer Center 5-211

The Answer Center is where all student service activities begin. This is the first stop for students to submit an application, discuss financial aid, inquire about orientation, and receive basic educational advising.  

Student Services 5-210

The Student Services office provides developmental advising, financial aid assistance, personal counseling (crisis intervention), and referrals to community resources.

Assessment 5-237

The Assessment office administers the computerized placement test (CPT), LOEP, CLEP, CLAST, CAT-CLAST, and the NET test to Valencia's students.

Business Office 5-214

The office where questions related to student accounts are provided.

Career Development Services 5-230

The Career Development services offers a variety of career related services that are available to assist students in making career decisions, setting career goals, and preparing for a job search. 

Office for Students with Disabilities 5-216

The Office for Student with Disabilities provides individual assistance to students with documented disabilities based upon the need and impact of the specific disability. This office is open Monday-Friday from 8-5pm.

Student Development 5-212

The Student Development office provides a variety of programs and services to students.

Career Program Services

This office is where students are able to speak with Career Program Advisors (CPA's).   Career Program Advisors offer valuable help to students involved in Associate in Science Degree and Certificate Programs. 

International Student Services 5-217

Students attending Valencia on any visa must meet with an International Student Manager after completing the admissions process.

Security - Building F

This office is where emergencies (illness or injury) are reported, any disturbance on campus that could result in a serious injury or death and lost/found services.

Student Learning Laboratories

A variety of learning laboratories designed to assist students who need help in reading, writing, and mathematics skills.

Atlas Access 5-213

The Atlas Access lab where student success is supported with the use of computers for career and educational planning through Atlas.  

Internship & Placement Office 5-230

This office is where students and employers connect for opportunities in a specific field such as employment or internship.

Tutoring Services - Building 4

Tutoring services are available at no charge to students for academic courses in which they are currently enrolled.
