Nursing Entrance Test
Procedure for taking the Nurse Entrance Test (NET):
The NET is given at Assessment on East (5-237), Osceola (1-127),
and West (SSB 235) campuses. NET testing is done on a walk-in basis
Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm and Friday from 8am-2pm.
(Summer Friday hours are 8am-9am) There is a $25 fee for the test
PROCEDURE FOR TAKING THE NET EXAM
- If you are a Valencia student, go to Step 2. If you are not a Valencia student, obtain a Valencia Application from the Answer Center (East 5- 211, Osceola 1-150, West SSB-106). Complete the application.
- Obtain a NET Referral from the Assessment Center (East 5-237, Osceola 1-127, West SSB -235).
- Pay the $25.00 Valencia application fee (if needed) and the $25.00 non-refundable, non-transferable NET fee in the Business Office (East 5-214, Osceola 1-155, West SSB-101).
- Return the NET Referral with receipt to the Assessment Center to test.
In order to be admitted for test, you must present governmental identification, such as a driver's license. The test lasts approximately 2 ½ hours. There are two short breaks built into the test. Except for the breaks, the whole test must be completed once started; you cannot take a part and then pick up where you left off at a later date.
A copy of your results will be given to you at the end of testing. Students may retake the test after thirty days. Students are limited to taking the test 3 times in a 12 month period. NET scores taken outside of Valencia will not be accepted by the Health Sciences Programs.
You must score at least 65% or higher on the overall composite
score AND a 65% or
higher on the reading composite score to be eligible to apply to
the nursing program.
You will get a copy of your results at the end of your test.
