Paralegal Studies
Academic Advisor
Kathy Fedell
Kathy Fedell has become a familiar face to students in the Paralegal
Studies program since she became designated as their "Career
Program Advisor." Ms. Fedell helps Paralegal Studies students
with graduation requirements; course selections; program information;
and academic issues. Her goal is to assist all Paralegal Studies
students to complete their degrees as quickly and as easily as possible.
Students can schedule an appointment with her by calling extension
2388. Her office is located in the Business, IT, and Public Services
Office (8-105) on East Campus.
Earning a BA in English from Hood College in Frederick, MD, Ms.
Fedell went on to complete her MSM at Rollins College, Winter Park,
FL. Previous work experience included seven years with Orange County
Schools as an English Teacher and Occupational Placement Specialist.
Her professional background also involved extensive management and
business experience with retail, insurance and professional association
organizations. In addition, she worked for several years as a freelance
writer for technical publications and area magazines and newspapers.
During her early career, she served as Publicity Officer for St.
Joseph College, Emmitsburg, MD.
Ms. Fedell has been married for over 30 years to Robert, who is
an "award-winning" English teacher at Dr. Phillips High
School. They have a daughter, Amy, who graduated from Valencia and
now attends UCF. In her spare time, Ms. Fedell enjoys reading mystery
novels, going to the theater, and watching movies.
