Valencia Dance TheatreThe goals of the Valencia Community College Dance Program are to provide quality technical training, performance opportunities and enhancement of the overall dance experience through individualized attention and development. Valencia offers a solid dance education for the dancer who aspires to make a future in the performing arts. Commited instruction is offered to students who desire dance as a professional career and to individuals who have an avocational interest in dance instruction.

A strong technical emphasis is placed on the traditional dance disciplines that enhance opportunities for students from any dance background. The dance program provides performance opportunities for the serious dancer with the goal of stengthening their professional training experience.

Our Pre-Major training stresses perfomance, instruction and choreography as a means of artistic expression. To further the experience, Valencia provides students with a work based experience to enhance workplace skills through a supervised practical experience related to their career objectives. We are fully committed to the success of individuals who desire a truly exciting opportunity in the field of dance.
