BREAKING NEWS

INSTRUCTOR PAY:

New Instructors: DO NOT teach at the CJI until Dave has told you that your FDLE Instructor Certificate has been approved and Terry has told you that your Adjunct Employment status has been approved. Applying for either is not clearance to teach, you must have confirmation that you have been approved by FDLE and Valencia CC Human Resources before you can teach any class at CJI!!!

Veteran Instructors:

If you are an adjunct instructor and have not taught in the last 18 months you will become inactive in the payroll system. You will be required to resubmit all paperwork through Terry before you can teach again.

Some instructors have not been approving their pay on Atlas in a timely manner, which causes delays in payment and creates additional work for the Fiscal Staff. One of the main issues appears to be notification. All instructors should follow the steps in the Powerpoint link below to set up forwarding of their Atlas email to the email address or addresses that they routinely monitor. Once you have set up email forwarding, you will get an email from the Atlas system advising you that you have a payment for approval and it will provide you with a link to your atlas approval screens. The steps are very simple and depicted very clearly on the attachment below provided in Powerpoint or Word for your convenience.
