News from Procurement
Procurement encourages departments to submit quotes with their
requisitions. This gives you (the user) a good idea of the cost of
the good or service and it gives Procurement a bench mark from which
to work to finalize the purchase. This may or may not end up being
the "official" quote. If the submitted quote does not end up being
the "official quote, (the one that we use) then Procurement will
ascertain the necessary quotes. If quote(s) are not submitted with
your requisition, Procurement will get them for you! Quotes are good
business practice, no matter how much money is being spent.
Year End Close Information: Please note that any goods or
services that are received on or before June 30 will be paid from
previous year (04/05) funds, regardless of the invoice date. If you
need to have a late June purchase charged to new year funds, you
will need to work with Procurement so that we may schedule the
delivery date to be July 1 or later.
