CLASP - CLAST Test Dates

You must be an AA degree-seeking student to register for the CLAST at or through Valencia. Transient students must visit their home institution to get a referral to test at Valencia.

You should plan to take the test prior to the session in which you expect to graduate.

Please register through the Assessment Office for the test in one of two ways:

1.  For the paper/pencil test there is a $25 non refundable fee for each test date. You may take one to four skill areas on the same date.

The test is given in February, June, and October

2.  For the CAT-CLAST (Computer Adapted Test available at Valencia's West Campus), there is a $10 non refundable fee for each appointment. The test is given by individual appointment year round. There is no registration deadline.  You may register for up to three different skill areas per appointment.  If you are not a degree-seeking Valencia student the fee is $30.

The ESSAY is not available on computer so students who have not met the ESSAY requirement should take the paper/pencil test. You must contact the Assessment Office at Valencia before calling the CAT-CLAST institution.

A minimum of thirty days must have passed before you may retake a test in the same skill area by any method. You may not repeat a test you have already passed.

Results for the CLAST will appear on your transcript in 5-6 weeks for the paper/pencil test, and/or 3-4 weeks for the CAT-CLAST.
