Please register through the Assessment Office by September 5, 2008.

CLASP - CLAST Alternatives

If you have good grades in specific courses or high SAT/ACT scores, you may not have to take the CLAST.

Ways to be exempt from the CLAST include:

A minimum of a B and a C in ENC1101 and ENC1102 (2.5 combined GPA in 6 credits for communications) A minimum of a B and a C in two Gordon Rule college-level mathematics courses (2.5 combined GPA in 6 credits for mathematics)

You can use a combination of actually taking a CLAST subtest, grades, and/or SAT or ACT scores to meet the College Level Academic Skills Program (CLASP) requirements.

Education majors must take and pass all parts of the CLAST or General Knowledge Test to register for upper-level Education courses at a 4-year institution.
