Valencia's Restaurant and Food Services Management Program
provides the training you need to enter this ever-expanding
career field. Our program gives you the opportunity to gain
experience using the most up-to-date technology in the hospitality
and food service industry. You'll also enjoy the on-the-job
training from some of the area's leaders in the restaurant
field, and many students increase their exposure to the industry
by attending annual restaurant shows in Orlando and Chicago.
With our 407-hour internship, you will be able to develop
the service techniques and management skills you will need
for a successful restaurant career in one of the most exciting
industries in Central Florida.
Typical Tasks may include:
estimating food needs, planning menus, purchasing the proper amount of food and supplies needed
managing catering jobs and banquets
managing and tracking food and labor costs and trend analysis
hiring and training employees on effective service techniques and appropriate etiquette
