These are short-term programs that can be completed in one year or less. They are designed to equip you with a specialized skill set for immediate employment or job advancement. All of the certificate courses are also included in the related A.S. degree program so they can be used as building blocks toward completing the degree -- which will help improve your earning potential.

Program Description:
The need for networking specialists continues to grow. And
an A.S. Degree from Valencia can put you in the perfect position
to join the ranks of these respected professionals. Our Computer
Engineering Technology (Networking) program will teach you
how to design, administer, maintain and support local and
wide area computer network systems. You can also choose to
specialize in Cisco or Microsoft, while becoming qualified
for exciting technological roles in network design, installation
and maintenance; inter-network communication and connectivity;
network administration; and microcomputer installation, maintenance
and repair.

Typical Tasks may include:
configuring, installing and operating LAN, WAN, and dial access services for computer network systems
performing hands-on laboratory testing and troubleshooting of personal computers, peripheral devices, and operating systems
performing network administration using a network operating system and other tools
configuring, installing, and troubleshooting voice-over IP related customer premises equipment
