Member Spotlight:
Helen Von Dolteren-Fournier is one of only four women to receive the Central Florida Women's Resource Center 2008 Summit Award during the upcoming 24th annual "Salute to Women" in October. The presentation recognizes Orlando-area women who serve as role models in the service of their community.

as interim Director of the Honors Program.
We

has accepted the position of Manager, Donor Stewardship with the

Craig authored

Barbara Frazier achieved
her Competent Toastmaster designation as a member of Toastmasters
International.
Gloria Hines received a the Freeda Louise Foreman
Chair in Family Resource Development to research, study, and work
with adjustment and separation anxiety in International student.
Anita Kovalsky was recently selected by the National
League for Nursing (NLN) to serve as the NLN Ambassador to Valencia.
Michele McArdle is co-author for The Teacher
Leader's Way published in the Florida Educational Leadership
Journal (Fall, 2006).
Kudos to Geraldine Gallegher and
the Valencia Staff as well as their incoming board
chair Helen
Von Dolteren Fournier. The Valencia Foundation was
named the strongest community college
endowment in the country for the second year running,
about $28 million ahead of the next community college. Geraldine
expresses her thanks to the entire AAWC leadership and membership
for contributing to the endowment's strength in service to students
and the college.
