American Association for Women in Community Colleges
The
American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) was
organized in 1973 as a council of the American Association for Community
Colleges. The Valencia Chapter of AAWCC was founded in 1988, and
was the first AAWCC chapter in the state of Florida.
AAWCC is committed to equity and excellence in
education and employment for women in community, junior, and technical
colleges. The organization provides professional development, leadership
training, networking, and workforce excellence opportunities for
students, faculty, and staff. An annual scholarship is available
to female Valencia students.
To Join the Valencia Chapter of AAWCC,
please complete a membership
application and send to Becky Gallup at mail code DTC-2 or fill out the contact us
information. Payroll deduction for your membership fee is available until October 1st. Just include a completed payroll deduction form with your membership application.
